Home...

Well, we're here. We were released yesterday afternoon, even though the final results haven't come back on the cultures. Ella's fever had gone away, she was nursing again, etc, so the doc thought we'd be good to come home. Im operating on severe sleep deprivation (about 13 hours over the last 72) and Ella seems to have gotten some baby GERD (acid reflux) but otherwise we're good. Hubband is back to classes tomorrow, with papers and projects and tests this week so here's hoping that we get better sleep tonight. Baby girl had a rough day sleep wise (her tummy would wake her up... and she threw up a couple times again) but hopefully that will translate into a good NIGHT of sleeping. She's out right now, went down at around 8 (but only if I was holding her) and I was finally able to transfer her to her basket about 30 minutes ago and grab dinner, go potty, and get ready for bed. With my luck the way its been lately, she'll wake up just as I doze off. But Im tired, so dozing is going to commence.... NOW.

If necessary, take the baby to bed with you. We can bring our 'co-sleep' bassinet if you want it. Claire gave it to Caryn, but I don't think Caryn used it for Oliver.

Talk to Caryn (or your doc) about the acid reflux. We don't want it to get worse.

I so love you and look forward to holding little Ella bundle so you can get some rest.

Oh lady, so sorry to hear you're having troubles. I'm glad to hear you're home and will be praying for more sleep for you all. Nothing's worse than a sick baby and nobody is more pessimistic than a fatigued mommy. Just remember - it will get better! Lotsa hugs!
